The Croasdaile Village Residents’ Association – It’s Your Organization!

At the Annual CVRA meeting in early January, your Residents’ Association began its 22nd year as a non-profit, membership association representing all of you in matters that affect the general welfare, comfort, and quality of life of residents. All residents live in 17 neighborhoods in The Homestead, Cottages, Park Homes, and soon, in The Heritage’s three levels. The neighborhood representatives and five executive officers make up the Residents’ Council, which acts upon all association business.

Here’s some background information on the five officers elected to serve the CVRA in 2023:

President Robert Brawley

A Charlotte native, Robert, and his wife, Jane, came to CV in December 2018. Robert spent 34 years in pastorates in Rock Hill, SC, and Philadelphia, PA, and at seminaries in the Presbyterian Church. Robert earned B-Div. and M-Div. degrees from Erskine College and a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is the Albert G. McGaw Professor of New Testament, Emeritus at the McCormick Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Visiting Lecturer and Religious Life Committees and participates in the German and Spanish-speaking groups.

Vice President Ruth Porter

Ruth and her husband, Fred, came to CV in September 2018. She served as Davisson Central Neighborhood Rep for two years and has served one term as CVRA vice president. A member of the Accessibility and Health Services Committees, she is also a library volunteer.

Secretary Marcia Mayo

Marcia and her husband, Mike, moved into their CV Park Home in 2019. In addition to serving one year as CVRA secretary, she is a Gift Shoppe and Library volunteer. Marcia has also served on the EAGF and Life Enrichment committees.
