Easter Season Services

The Stations of the Cross refers to a series of images depicting the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The idea of replicating the sites of His journey in Jerusalem began in the 1300s with the Franciscans. They planned representative shrines to provide a place to walk and meditate on the powerful messages told about the last day of Jesus. Over the years, many such sites have been created for meditation and prayer during the Christian Holy Week.

The Stations of the Cross installation in Few Chapel features photographs of mosaic panels found in the Santa Barbara Mission in California, founded in 1786. The Stations of the Cross installation was presented to Few Interfaith Chapel as a gift by resident Joyce Bumann. It will be open for viewing in the Chapel on Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend.
