How do I talk to my parents about assisted living?
It’s best to start early, before a health crisis forces the issue. Ask your loved one about their wishes, listen to their concerns, and don’t push. One of the best ways to change their views is to show them what a senior living community is really like. Schedule a visit to our community in Durham, NC, and let them see for themselves how our supportive environment can enrich their lives.
Can I get help downsizing and moving while making my transition to assisted living?
While we don’t have official partnerships with local downsizing or moving companies, we do maintain a recommendations list based on positive experiences shared by our residents. If you’re planning a move and would like some guidance, we’re happy to provide this list upon request. It’s a helpful starting point for finding trusted local support during your transition.
